Almost all home gardeners run to a garden center or nursery at the start of the growing season, though they don’t have to. Propagating one’s own plants is far from difficult, and it can be an exciting accomplishment when done successfully. The propagation techniques explained by Cushnie make is easy to start more than 1,000 plants. How to Propagate provides detailed information on plant hygiene, temperature and humidity, and the care of newborn plants. Gardeners are not the only ones who can benefit—growers will also find the best ways to propagate a wide range of crops, from annuals to perennials to woody ornamentals.
